Nonverbals Govern How We Think and Feel

Body language is inextricably linked to how we take in and process information. If you breakdown how we interpret human communication, 55% of that interpretation comes solely from body language (with 38% coming from tone of voice and a paltry 7% from the words themselves.)

And yet, body language is something we rarely give conscious thought to. We think about our words, but rarely do we think about gesture, posture, or facial expression. It's unconscious. It's below our level of awareness. And yet it speaks more loudly than our words.

So how do we become more aware of how we show up? How do we use and channel such a powerful form of communication? And if unconscious emotion governs body language, can body language also influence unconscious emotion?

It sure can.
